About this tool
PDF to JPG is a free online tool that converts each page of a PDF into a separate JPG image. Upload a PDF, pick quality and DPI, and download the pages as a ZIP archive - all done locally in your browser using Mozilla's PDF.js. Your file never leaves your device.
How it works
1
Drop your PDF
Drag a PDF file into the drop zone or click to pick it from your device. The tool reads it locally - nothing is uploaded anywhere.
2
Pick quality and DPI
Choose the output quality (60-100%) and resolution (72, 150, 200 or 300 DPI). Higher DPI means sharper images and larger files.
3
Download all pages as ZIP
Click "Convert to JPG" and every page becomes a JPG. All images are packaged into a single ZIP file for easy download.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server? v
No. PDF.js runs entirely in your browser - your file is read locally, rendered to canvas, and converted to JPG there. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How many pages can I convert? v
There is no hard limit. Very large PDFs (hundreds of pages at 300 DPI) may use a lot of memory, so for big files it's safer to use 150 DPI.
What image quality should I choose? v
60-75% is fine for thumbnails and previews. 85-95% works for most documents. 100% gives the sharpest result but the largest files.
Why is the download a ZIP file? v
A PDF usually has many pages, and most browsers block downloading many files at once. Packing them into one ZIP keeps it as a single click and one file.
